Nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Tairua, New Zealand, Matt Deeb Architecture is a fusion of architecture and construction.

Led by the Matt Deeb, the architectural design and build studio transforms residential spaces into refined havens that harmonise with their environment.

The pratice offers architectural design, construction and interior design of residential projects, ranging from private residences to renovations. From feasibility and concept design, through interior selections building consent, and finishing with architectural observation of construction through to completion of the physical project.

We collaborate with local builders, to oversee construction through to completion. We craft every design with an architectural and builder’s eye, blending artistry with real-world practicality.

"I bring together architecture and carpentry in my practice, blending artistry with real-world practicality.

My design philosophy is to craft simple forms that integrate with the environment, creating light and inspiring spaces within. I aim for sustainable, durable and passive designs.

I believe in the use of natural materials that become special over time.

I begin projects by visiting the property and forming a relationship with the clients and their dreams. I then cycle between developing ideas traditionally on paper and developing in architectural software. This hybrid medium approach allows me to be both authentically creative and efficient”

External Partnerships

We select partners from our extensive network based on their suitability for the project and its development phase, and they cover services as diverse as carpentry, electical, plumbing, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, landscape design. We select teams whose we trust from previous projects. This provides the client with enhancing the overall quality and success of each design.

Onsite Architectural Monitoring

We provide thorough construction monitoring to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the building process. With a deep understanding of both architecture and construction, we closely track progress to make certain that timelines, specifications, and budgets are met, while addressing any potential issues early on.

Project Management

The project manager's role is to carefully assess the balance between time, cost, and quality, estimate the risks of each component and how they impact the overall outcome, and help teams achieve a balance that results in the best possible scenario. With our combined architectural and building knowledge, we ensure seamless execution, keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and in line with the client’s vision.
